I am currently working with an imported image as a background in my director movie (800x600) and it is being displayed very badly. I've read up on a few palette issues but for some reason cant get it to change to match a specific palette (maybe i'm doing it wrong)

How could I go about getting this image to a better quality? Can someone outline how to use the 'transform bitmap' option (if i should and how to properly save a palette from photoshop...that may also contain my error)

Sheesh...this is why I leave the graphic work up to the content division at work (but alas this is a personal project)

As you know when you import a image into director, it gives a pop-up box where you choose the color-bit depth for the image. Either Image or Stage depth. You also choose Mac palette, Win palette, we palette, etc. But if the image itself is not 32-bit then there is no way that Director could display it any better than it exists in itself. In Photoshop you should be able to go to Image-Modes-and change the depth there. I tried exporting palettes from Photoshop before but I can't remember how to because it did not work out well.
