Hi,
Maybe it is a stuppid question but i can find the answer.
How do i import an image with a background transparency?
Now i tried almost every thing with a alpha channel etc.
If your sending to a printer - -most printers don't work with files with transparancy. If it's a file and you have it going over a background so it has a silo effect to it, you may want to create a clipping path in Photoshop instead of using tranparancy.
The best thing to do is contact your printer, if the job is getting printed. Because here's what could happen you could send your job to the printer with transparancy on, printer doesn't work with these files - -your file needs a clipping path - -where either you could do it or the printer will do it for you and charge you more money.
Angler,
Transparancy files in ID can also wreck havoc at your printer depending on what kind of rip they have. If your considering ID contact your printer to see they can handle ID files.
There are several work arounds that can be done in other programs to achieve the same effect that you like in ID.
