Hi,
I've just upgraded to V10 from V9 and am having a few problems the most annoying of which is:

When i resize text on screen is sometimes destorts the text, for example: if I drag the top rhs handle while holding the shift key (to enlarge from the centre) some of the text will be stacked on top of each other. This doesn't happen all the time but enough to be annoying.

I've installed service packs 1 & 2 but that didn't seem to help. I would go back to V9 but some of the users in our office upgraded to Windows XP and couldn't get V9 to run.

If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Clayton

Hi Clayton,

I've been working with v10 for the past year and have run into this problem also. The one thing I've found to work was:

1) select your text

2) click on the text editing icon on your tool bar( it's the button with a lower case "a" and a cursor beside it

3) the text editing window will open and you should see the text you selected, within

4) now click the "ok" button

This has worked for me many times, I hope it does for you. This problem mainly occurs with certain fonts that you have installed onto your system.

Thanks for the reply rh14k.

That's how I solve the promlem to, but I think it's just extra steps we shouldn't have to take. All of the fonts on my system came with Corel.

Have you any idea if V11 does the same thing?

Your right about the extra steps. But it's a bug in v10 that hopefully v11 doesn't have. Like you I've loaded the most recent service packs and I still have the problem, along with some others. I'll be getting v11 soon and I'll see if it gives the same problems. I have made it a general rule of thumb for myself to skip and use every other version of a program. This has kept me from being a guinea pig for software manufacturers but it looks like this time I fell in the trap due to my employer. But time and another version down the road will tell.

Have a good night!
