Hi,
Im wondering, on a few laptops I have the Alt+4444 lets say does not work. Any ASCI codes dont work. I know desktops have an extra number dialpad that I use but the laptops do not. Is it a service that must be started or something. When I fist got the laptop from the dealer it was working , after a format it is not.

Usually, there's a function key (or key combination -look for different coloring) to turn on the Number lock. With the number lock function turned on, the number pad keys are usually around IOPJKLNM<.
