i'm using enumjobs to count the number of pages printed in a printer on a network , I have the printer on a win200 host and i use other w200 the function count perfectly but when i use it with W9x the number of pages printed that the program gives me is '0'

somebody knows why ?

thanx

If I remember correctly win9x does not support that part of the functionality. Check the API documentation, I belive that is where I read it.

Good Luck

EnumJobs is supported by W95 and later. All W9x printers are "local", even network ones. Are you calling the function with a handle to the local printer?

I cant unterstand you Paul Bent, i use handle to the local printer in the win2000 , but the win9x must send the same information that win2000 to print ...... or not must it?

how can get the correct number of pages in w9X ? do you know or not can be ?

Well I did finally check the documentation and it was the JOB_INFO_3 structure I was thinking about. Now to try to answer your question MS has this to say about it the JOB_INFO_2 structure...
[tt]
PagesPrinted
Specifies the number of pages that have printed. This value may be zero if the print job does not contain page delimiting information.

Hope you find an answer. Good Luck
