Hi

I'm posting this here as I can't think of where it should really be posted - I've also left a message in the asp forum. Anyway:

I'm the webmistress (can you say that?) for a small but code heavy site that we need to move onto a new server at a new host (various problems). However, though the web connection appears to be fine in the UK, from my connection (in Spain) it runs at approximately half the speed. I need to know if other users, especially US users find the same thing.

If anyone has 2 minutes to spare then please go to the following two urls and time how long the page takes to download on each.

thanks Chris - I take it you're in the UK. I think maybe then it's just the European connection to the first site (kidswindow.co.uk) that's bad. It's all a bit confusing. Are there any other European users who can test it for me? Also I guess other UK users or US users would be useful to test my theory fully.

Hey Luy,

I'm in the US and I'm showing about 100ms to your site with the page loading in about 3-4 seconds. It appears that the server side ASP is very responsive and the majority of the time is just download and display time for the graphics.

Hi Lucy,

By all means you can use web mistress - I use that too ;-)

I'm an ADSL user from Canada and the sites both loaded in 3-4 seconds for me as well.
