Hi,

I'm due to do a SAS course early next year and wanted to get ahead of the game so to speak.

Are there any cut down versions of SAS available for Windows or Linux?

Many thanks,
SF

StuartFoot23,
When you write 'Cut Down' do you mean inexpensive. There is a student versin of SAS. That version only allows 1000 obs to be processed at one time. You can really learn SAS with that version as its a 'full version' in all other aspects.
Hope this helps you.

Yep that's exactly the sort of thing I was after thanks. Mind you at $125 a go I might just wait for the course to begin!

Thanks anyway,

Yeah, that is the big problem with SAS, it's DAMNED expensive! I thought about getting hold of the cut down version myself but it really doesn't seem worth it. Apparently Oracle give away _their_ software to home users!!!

If you want a sneak preview before starting the course, check out the help site, has lots of bits and pieces there.
