Hi!

I was wondering if it's possible to execute a command for a UNIX station (Solaris), first loggin in remotely (something like Telnet) from a web page, from a PC. Strange, huh? :)

What I need to do is the following. I have a UNIX account. I'm using the Calendar program (similar to MS Outlook, Calendar sharing), which allows other users to see my chedule/calendar and plan their appointments accordingly.
Is it possible for someone log on to a UNIX station, execute the calendar programe and check my shcedule, all of this over the Net, and from a PC.
If u need any other info, ill be happy to rpovide it. but i need to know if that's possible.
Thank you! Avendeval

Sure it's possible. There are some details that might make it a little complicated - especially if they have to change userids from the web id (usually "nobody") to run the program. PERL has at least three of four different ways you can run a unix program and get the results back for display to a browser. You could try asking this question in the perl forum for more help.
