Hi
I have two ethernet cards on my machine. and I am using only one to connect to my network. my question is how to find the ip address of this card [DHCP enabled].
Can anybody tell me which command to use to get the ip-address of the machine that we are using.
thanks in advance

type this comand at linux prompt:

[user@hostname user] ifconfig

and press return.

Hope this will work

add the interface to the command to find out which card is doing what:
ifconfig eth0
ifconfig eth1

I can't have sent that email, it says from Superuser.
