Hi,

I have a sight where there are a number of button images setup with hyperlinks to Adobe .pdf files. So what happens is the user clicks the button and the .pdf file opens in the browser--this all works fine.

I also have a form on this site. What I need to be able to do is set it up so that when the user clicks the "submit" button a .pdf file opens as do the others. For some reason I can't get it to work properly. It seems the submit button can accept hyperlinks but that doesn't work. I took out the link, made sure there was no URL info in "confirmation Page" in "Form Properties Options", and inserted a redirect in "Advanced" under "Form Properties". The redirect is "Name = redirect" and "value = This doesn't work either.

What happens is the user clicks "submit", the "default confirmation page" displays, but no .pdf file opens. Any ideas?? This is becoming frustrating.

thanks in advance.

Why do you want pdf files to open rather than display html pages?

That aside, how about putting a line of autoredirect code on the confirmation page, and loading the pdf that way. It's a kludge, but should work. Jonathan Challis

Thanks for your response, I ended up doing just that to solve it using a Javascript function. Thanks again!
