Hi
I have a problem scheduling reports using CE9 Standard edition (free version with CR9 Advanced). Is it indeed possible, and if so, any suggestions?
Errors I get when schedule fails are for example:
"uNABLE TO CONNECT: INCORRECT LOG ON PARAMETERS. fILE c:\pROGRAM fILES\cRYSTAL dECISIONS\eNTERPRISE 9\dATA\PROCsCHED\cRYSTAL2.REPORT\~TMP790300CA6EAEE0.RPT"
Many thanks,
EO

Hi,
The message means that the database the report connects to needs a username/password to be set..In the CMC (Is there one with CE9 standard) you can use the database tab to save the username/password for that report.
If no CMC, I do not know where you would set that ( but, then again, I don't know how you would schedule it, either).[smile]

Hi
CE9 Std does have a CMC, and I have set a password for this report (although it does not have one under normal circumstances - one is not required to enter any username or password for this report). Same error. I am wondering if I published the report correctly in the first place. I used the Publishing wizard, and made it so that the user will be prompted for the parameters when trying to view the report (that works fine). But I still cannot schedule any report. I am also not sure how to schedule a report...do I use the ePortfolio, or do I use CMC, or other??? The documentation that came with the CE9 release is extremely vague, so I am none the wiser. Any suggestions?

Hi,
There should be a tab in the CMC ( unless CE9 has changed it- I am still on 8.5) when you have gone to the report page called 'Schedule' - it provides the interface for setting the schedule.

If the datasource does not require a username/password then do not set one in the CMC - You also cannot have a user-supplied parameter in the report ( unless you set a default value for it) since the scheduler will not be able to 'ask' for it.

( also, and this is something I used to forget a lot, be sure to click the 'update' button on any tab/page that you have made changes to, or the changes will not be saved.)
