Can you not link your paradox tables to access. Or is that the question ?

Hi this is a question

I have seen VB Programas work with DB Files with the Paradox Driver installed on the Clients and it seems very stable...

I whant to use 1 database (DB) per Table like i use to do in Clipper, because of the Access limitations to 2GB... hope I am making sense...

Best Regards

if you want to use ODBC & you are using Paradox 7(maybe version 6 too) or above you will need the Intersolve driver. This ships with paradox 7-10 or avilable as an evaluation download from
stable. I think not. We use a custom made operation database it runs on Paradox/delphi and it is terrible. However the benieft of using odbc rather than the native connections is by using different DSN's you can connect to different Paradox datafiles.

I only question whether you may be better using a different database. Paradox is not very microsoft friendly, you can make it work but i think you are making it harder for yourself. Have you considered free SQL dbs like Mysql, Interbase or PostgreSQL. Would Foxpro, MSSQL, or Dbase be more intergratable ?

Thanks For your time and help.

I am going to read about this Databases Structures.

Best Regards
