Hi I configured Samba as a domain controller for my XP box. When the promp for a user name and password come up when i try to add XP to the domain. I type in my user name and password, and then get this message. "No mapping between account names and security IDs was done". Does any one know what this means and how to fix it?

I have not done any work with XP, but any chance you failed to create the smbpasswd file? Also, your description is vague. Are you adding a machine account for the XP box from the cmdline, or are you trying to authenticate yourself from XP to Samba? Is Samba giving you this error, or XP?
