Hi,
I am new to unix, and having problems with the PPP connections. It seems to do strange things. I have SCO open Server 5.06j installed. Internet manager insists that there are no interfaces available. (Who am I to disagreee ? :)> ) Network config Manager shows SCO TCP/IP configued. The PPP manager lists automatic dialup to ISP.
The PPP manager however seems to refuse modifications to the set up . I can change them on the interface put it does not retain the modifications. Tried reboots etc. to no avail. The modem will dial from a Unix prompt. I have read the manual put possibly I have missed a page or two. If any one can either nanny me through it or point me in the correct direction It would be appreciated. Will supply more info if needed.

Thanks Chris

When you say it dials from the Unix prompt, what do you dial exactly? Can you telnet to another machine with the modem?

Sorry no answers just more questions :)
