Hi,

I am currently a technician with light experience and I'm taking a class to prepare for the A+ hardware exam. According to my instructor it's not needed, but every braindump and practice test I look at has questions regarding individual characteristics of processors. Has this knowledge been required when any of you were taking the test? Also, what are the key things to concentrate on? Thank you for any info / help you can give me.

Your best bet is to continue doing like you are - take practice tests online like crazy - you'll get a real good idea of what they are looking for.

Just wrote A+ Certification this morning.
Exam Essentials helped alot for the O/S exam but not the Core.
Drawings of system boards on core exam look like a six year old drew the diagrams!!!!

The exam does not get very processor specific, as it is vendor neutral.
