install Terminal Services, and download the TSC client(it's also on the win2k cd). This gives you a gui from anywhere in the world via tcp/ip. You pretty much have just as much control as if you were at the console, except graphics(such as opengl) and directx.

you should have also a fixed ip address on your server, so you wont be running crazy any time you (or your DNS) try to locate your server on the net. A+, MCP, CCNA

I know in XP, by creating a new connection, I am able to connect to my 2000 server through a Remote Desktop Connection. This came built in the XP operating system so it was at no extra cost.
