hi guys,

I am a newbie in BSD (or Unix-like OS). I tried to install FreeBSD 4.5 and it gives me 7 conflicts upon initial installation. I know this is common according to the docs I read, but most docs say I can choose the one I need and delete others in order to get rid off conflicts. Here is the problem... I have a D-Link network card but it does not appear in the network category. Maybe mine is compatible with the ones listed there, but I have no clue. I also have a modem but it's not shown. Is modem shown under network category? Also, should I just delete all the choices listed in network category and finish the installation first, and come back install the netwok card later?

Thanx for any suggestion,
youngun

You should not adjust your kernel before it fails - ie boot it without visual config, as *all* PCI boards are detected automatically (they simply cannot use same memory and DMA channels and can share IRQs)
