I recently bought a package from Roxio that included Media Creator 8 Deluxe, and a Dazzle DVC90. This is a USB 2 video capture device.
The dazzle device is recognized but imports badly corrupted video from my VCR.
After days of messing around with this device I have given up on it.
I found literally dozens of people having the same problems that I am and no solutions.
The only suggestion that I got was to run the device through a self powered USB hub as the band width seems to be too much to push through the port from my computer. I have no idea whether this would help or not.
What I would like is a recommendation as to what kind of video capture card I can put into my computer that will allow me to import video from a VCR to my computer, in a format that I can edit and export from Media Creator.
I don’t need software or any kind of package, just a good video capture card, I don’t know anything about this; it’s all new to me.
My computer is…
Dell XPS 800
P4 3 ghx Dual Core processor.
2 gig fast ram.
Nvidea 7800GTX video card.
DX9c
Soundblaster Audigy sound card.
All drivers up to date.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
