Hi everyone,

I am looking for a solution short of buying a Norstar. A customer wants to CFNA their business line to the cell phone after 4 rings and if the cell goes unanswered the VM will pick up the call.

There is only one line and the link/transfer feature could be used if there is a stand alone device to complete the transfer.

Is there such a device?

Thanks,

Rob

I apologize for not using a correct header for my post.

If you call your telco they might have a feature for forward no answer that allows you to select the telephone number to be forwarded to, then let the cell phone voicemail pick it up.

unfortunatly the call forward NA is normally in effect at all times.

anyone else?

rstar,
our telco has a thing called 'advanced call forwarding'. You may call forward your number to another from any location not just from the originating circuit. Then you may choose to answer the cell phone or let it ring to voice mail. I use this option all the time. SInce switching occurrs at the CO, it is seemless for the caller and WAY more efficient with no extra rings to wait through.

I had the same kinda request from one of out field offices and I set then up with centerx service. Now they can forawrd calls offsite at there will by selecting the lines they want forwarded and puttin in a code the the number to forward to .. I would explain the procedure for forwarding them but it is a telco thing and if like any other telco thing it'll change from state to state. or carrier to carrier.

But call your local service provider and look into centerx service

Thank you for all ideas. The local telco did offer such a service at one time but have discontinued the service. It was the feature of forwarding after x number of rings that is really needed. Forward on busy is not needed. It should be a simple device to produce.

Thanks to everyone,

Rob

Thanks Jerry,

It looks good and may be the ticket.

Thanks to all,

Rob
