Hi could someone please explain to me why the following logs keep building up as these blow
/usr filestystem I have had a look at the logs like snmpd and dpid2.log and all I see is SMUX
and IP address what are these files for and is there a way to stop them building other stopping
the snmpd, dpid2 daemon etc. Any help well be gratefully appreciated

muxtmd.log
snmpd.log
dpid2.log
dhcpcd.log
dhcprd.log

The dpid2, muxatmd, and hostmidb are SNMP daemon log files. They can be truncated and keep only the last 100 lines. If you don't need SNMP you can stop the SNMP subserver. The "dhcp" log files are created from the DHCP daemon. Turn off the DHCP subserver if you are not using DHCP.
