Hi, can anyone explain the dd command when trying to access scsi disk array?

dd doesn't appreciate differences between type of disks.
It copies a file to another, if doesn't matter if this file is a file on filesystem, a raw devices or a mag tape.
Theoretically you could use dd also for disk cloning.
