Hi all you BCM50 experts. I need some help please! BCM50 R6, 8 incoming and outgoing ISDN2 lines set to ring all 12 extensions on incoming calls. Is there a way I can get a recorded announcement as a comfort message to incoming callers whilst still ringing the extensions. Thanks in advance

I know the Avaya IP Office supports it but as far as I know, it isn't possible on the BCM.
That being said, you could just send the call to Call Pilot and get the callers to hear a message first, before bouncing back to ring all 12 extensions.

Thanks Firebird, after much research and playing around this morning with hunt groups, and forwarding to an information only mailbox and back to the hunt group, that's the only way I can make it work nearly as I want it! This BCM has ICC agents and ICC Skillsets enabled so that's my next route as I believe calls queued to agent groups will get announcements on the BCM. Thanks again....

If you had said ICC in the first place the yes you do have call queue announcements..
You just set them in the day table or night table depending on your timers,.

But on a side note...it’s been a while...you can create a loop using call pilot SDN..
This will allow the hunt group to overflow to an AA which you can record a hold message
Then transfer it back to the hunt group again.
And it just keeps looping..

Just read that section on the help files...it can be really flexible when using hunt groups.

Hi snowman50, thanks for your input, I will give it a go. New to the BCM50, found this one in a skip, took it to the office, log in and couldn't believe what a feature rich system it is. Always been Mitel through and through, and then along comes a BCM!!!!!
