Hi all,
We have :
MICS 4.1
NAM 4.0
Cinphony I

After a power failure something weird happened to the NAM, looks like it was reset to the default and all mailboxes are locked, The greetings are not active when someone call us from outside, every thing is messed up

Also I cant access the admin mailbox when I try the password that I already have it doesn’t work also I tried 10020000(we have 4 digits), and tried 120000, 1020000 no luck.
I am stuck any help will be appreciated

The first thing I would try is a reset. Leave it down for a minute and then bring it back up. Once it is back up, wait around 15-20 minutes. Try a voicemail feature. If you get "Inactive Feature", wait an additional 10 minutes. If still no luck you may have to start from scratch. To do this you'll need to enter F983 CONFIG (266344). You will then have to go through all of the start up programming. After that it will accept the admin password and you can rebuild mailboxes, etc.

Good Luck!

I really hope you have a backup of the NAM. before I ran thru startup programming I would want to see via a keyboard/monitor if you have anythin left in your programming. I hate to start from scratch without exausting every option I can.

Thanks for the reply, I did try reset but didnt wait that long, I don't have backup so i gess I will have to start from scratch, I might need help in some areas so please be with me.

When I did (C:\chkdsk) I found the cross-linked files and I have the option to try and fix this by (chkdsk /f) .
have any one tried this before does it erase any existing data.
I am still trying to avoid loosing everything and start from scratch.
Any input will be appreciated

Hi again,
Looks like our problem was having the ACD and the VM on the same NAM, Nortel is not supporting this any more.
What are our options to solve this issue? We are thinking of buying a call pilot 150 and using it for VM and keep the NAM for ACD only. If we do this are there any compatibility issues that we should consider?
