Hi all
On our main network we have a smaller network on another site 2 PDC's one with NT4 and the other with windows 2000
when we ping from a workstation with the ip address we get a reply when we ping we the PDC name we get UNKNOWN HOST
why is this

Netbios names do not route.

Are the 2 sites connected? If so, you can have the DNS for the remote site point to the Main Sites DNS server....
