Hi all,

I've seen a few flash movies that have say the company logo on the screen, then every few seconds a bar of light flashes across it, lighting up the logo for a second or two - how do you do that? I've tried for ages with masks and it doesn't seem to work - any clues are welcome.

ohh isnt it something like

the logo on the index page

if so, tat IS masking, its just a thin rectangle(filled wif gradient)
and it runs behind the text.

Yep, it's just like that, but erm could I have a few more clues and erm (very embarassed) have you got any .fla's I could look at? It's been driving me mad for the last few hours!

When I try it, the text or logo is only "lit up" is the mask goes across and it's not on the screen all the time, it's black then lights up and then is black, I neen the logo to be on the screen all the time with the flash(!) going through it?

Understand that?

i havnt got the fla file, but i suppose u could dl a similar one from

or somewhere if u search hard enough

if u want the 'shining-thing' to keep on playing, just make it a loop animation
