Hi All,

I've been having problems with my backup jobs. Running Arcserve2000 w/SP4 on a W2k w/SP2. Intermittingly one of the jobs will Fail and I would get this in the logfile:

Log file is not available (Path=\\servername\Arcserve$\Log\J0000953.log

When I look for that file in the logs it's there. This only happens about once or twice a week and it'll work the next day. And it's not specific to 1 backup job. I have 3 different jobs that run nightly. This started happening about 3 weeks ago.

Has anyone seen this?

Thanks,
rmv

Haven't seen it before, but.... Has anything changed on the server in the past 3 weeks or so? Even possibly permissions on the ARCserve$ share?

That's the weird thing, nothing has changed on the server. I've e-mailed CA but I have not gotten a reply from them. I wonder if I should delete the jobs and re-create them. This seems to be the tip for fixes in a lot of Arcserve bugs.

Anyone else have any other suggestions?

Thanks!

I have had this before, the job never even tried to start. Foe me it seems to be related to media, check your media pool. Make sure the media is present in the device and the device pool is correct.
