hi all,

is there anybody, with an idea, why somebody would set
up a php -configure like this:

'./configure' ... '--enable-yp' '--enable-ftp' '--without-mysql' '--without-oracle' '--without-oci8' '--with-openssl' '--with-xml'


"--without-mysql" allthough mysql is running on that server.
I want to upgrade the gd library and freetype, but I
wonder wether mysql works fine after I used the same configure I found in phpinfo.php or not...

I'd be glad for any hint
