Hi all,

I would like to use an ordinary analog phone on my Partner ACS R5. The phone I wish to buy supports FSK & dial-tone stutter MWI (message waiting indicator) and CID.

My question is, will Partner ACS R5 support this type of MWI.

If it doesn't, does anyone know and OEM cordless phones that will work with the Partner ACS R5 MWI protocol?

Thanks!

your best bet is the Avaya cordless phones. They are expensive but they work...

Also the ANALOG phones Will not recieve caller ID info from the partner. It is sent via the data pair tho the screen of the partner phones.

Hi zzephyr6,
Analog phones that have LED MWI's will work. The Partner will not give a stuttered dial tone. I don't know of any cordless base stations that will react to the LED MWI to a wireless phone. The Transtalk phones are lordly expensive and hard to use, they are secure (frequency hopping) and have great range. As noted, called ID is passed on the data pair only to system phones.
Why not stick a pots phone with an LED MWI where you need it. It's the cheapest indicator going.

Ok, thanks,

That is what I thought I had to do, I was hoping for a "slick" solution... I appreciate the insights.
