Hi all,,,,

I just finished setting up an MS Win2000 Intranet that has no connection to the internet. It is has Windows2000 Domain controller with a few servers and clients.
Question: Do I need to setup a Certificate Authority on the domain controller in order to realize the benefits of IPsec for securing our network, or will the DC take care of the certificates automatically some how? We need IPsec for securing communications between servers and clients.

Yes, I think that you must build your internal CA server(s).

I suggest that you should spend some time on learning and testing IPSec in a lab and in a small pilot before production deployment.
