Hi all,

I am tasked to set up a database. We would like users to be able to edit in Forms view.

However, is there a way where users would not be able to edit data in the Table view too? The users are new to the Access program and the data in the table form may be messed up accidentally. Can I protect the Table view with a password?

Thanks for your help.

In the forms properties there's a "views allowed" option where you can select "Form", "Datasheet", or "Both". Set that to "Form".

With Access 2002 (XP), there is an option similar to what dakota said... youhave the options to:

Allow Form View
Allow Datasheet View
Allow PivotTable View

Set the following:

Allow Form View - YES
Allow Datasheet View - NO
Allow PivotTable View - NO

That should disable any other view apart from Form View.

I don't know what other versions of Access this is available in.

Hope it helps (-:
Aubs
