Hi All,

I am running ARC2000 on a NT4 machine. How do I prevent ARC2000 from assigning a random ID when I do an inventory of the slot on my Quantum DLT8000 tape drive?

Hi,
as forth as I know you simply have to enter an ID by yourself. Then Arcserve will no longer try to give you one.
However, it is recommended to let Arcserve supply you with the ID.
