Hi All

I am a newbee to solaris ( i have used AIX LVM extensively); my query is how do i do volume management in solaris ..ie.. increasing the filesystem size on the fly , do i have to purchase some additional tools for this ( well as of AIX , the LVM is built in to the OS )Thanks for any help on this !

Unlike AIX you can't increase filesystem size on the fly in Solaris.
However, if you are using Solstice Disksuite or Veritas you can.
Check if you are using either of these.
