· If you want to take advantage of workbook hyperlinks on your network or Web without converting workbook data to HTML format, you can make the Microsoft Excel Viewer available to users who don't have Microsoft Excel. With the Viewer, users open and view but don't save Microsoft Excel workbooks. Users who have either Microsoft Excel or the Viewer can open workbooks directly from an Office-compatible Web browser, such as the Microsoft Internet Explorer.
