Running win98 2nd edition. I get Write error Protection, Please restart computer. Everything works great until I plug my new USB scanner I get this error. I have done it while the computer is on and immediately I get a blue Screen with error and I disconect and need to reboot.

I need to know the VxD which is reporting the error in the blue screen. Is it the VMM, the IFSMGR, etc. That error report is the key to finding out what's wrong.
