Hey Techyz,

I have windows 2000 professional on my system. Can I have a parellal installation of Windows XP Professional. Are these two operating systems compatible with each other.

Please advice.

Yes You can,You'll have dual boot machine,install first win2k than XP .
 
They'll need to be in separate partitions or on separate drives.
 
Just out of curiosity, why would you want to dual boot to two microsoft OS' especially when you can format XP to look extremely similar to Win 2k...both NTFS?

I think he's talking about 'appearance'. XP has a new user interface, which you can turn off, so it basically looks very like 2k (btw, I've got a multi-boot system with 2k, XP and several others! - so think its quite a reasonable idea).
