How's everyone doing? I'm a techie by the way. I haven't really used Goldmine that much. I have this issue with a client. Everyone within that company is not receiving email using goldmine. They are receiving email on the server though. They're able to view through webmail which is email on the server. So everything on our end is fine. This seems to be an issue with Goldmine itself. Everyone can send out using Goldmine even though they cant receive. I sent a test email and that user could not get it when clicking get mail. The user was able to send me test message when I verified. Gold mine also shows all users as being connected. Everyone is online and able to browse. User also told me that her goldmine inbox has vanished. This meaning inbox still shows but none of her email is in there anymore. I had her close out of goldmine and reopen. Still same issue. I had the user go through her config settings and everything is set correctly but greyed out so she cant make any changes. I'm a little stumped on this one. Anyone have any similar issues? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You don't mention which version of GoldMine, which would be helpful in diagnosing the problem. If you go to Help | About you'll see the version number.

However, email problems are usually the same version to version. Have they changed settings on the mail server? GoldMine uses POP3 and SMTP. Also check in the user preferences (Edit, Preferences, E-Mail tab) and verify that the POP3 settings are intact.

Hope this gives you a good starting point. There are others more skilled than I that could reply as well, make sure you post back with the version number and database back end (Dbase, Firebird or SQL).

GoldMine e-mail problems are usually caused by antivirus/spamware applications, and are not truly GoldMine issues.

Great...thanks for the help guys. Definitely appreciate it. I'm sure it's going to be a firewall issue blocking port 110 possibly. I really don't see what else could be wrong since I already did check that pop setting were correct and everything else is checking out other than the receiving end of email. Firewall is usually the culprit in that case. Thanks again. Take care.
