Hey Gang

I've built a VB program that I added a control to but then didn't need the custom control so I deleted it from the project. Now when I package and deploy my application the custom control is included in myt package even though I have checked the check box that says do not include information for unused controls.

Does anyone know how I can get this control to actually be removed from the project when it is compiled?

Ken

Did you actually remove the UserControl object from the project window, or just remove the custom control from your form? If the UserControl object is still in your project, I think that would cause your problem. Rick Sprague

When I removed it from my Refferences it seemed to stop using the ocx.

Thanks for your input.

To add/remove controls from a project, you want to right-click on a blank spot in the toolbox and select "Components..."
