I've got three Access databases I am merging. I built a new database from the fields of all three.

I fully normalized it, and now I am ready to port the data from the three databases. Sounds great in theory, BUT... where do I begin and what is my gameplan?

We probably need more details ... and can you clarify? You don't build "databases" from fields ... you build Tables ... and you normalize tables, not databases.

Are you talking about three separate *.mdb files (i.e. databases) that contain tables or are you talking about separate tables that are all in the same mdb file?

Apro po... I actually built one very large table from the fields of all three... then eliminated all fields that contained the same information (IE if there were two fields containing license plate numbers, etc...)

Once I had collected my fields into one large table, I normalized it to BCNF.

Now I have to figure out a way to move the data from the old tables into the new ones.

What makes it difficult is there are a lot of links in the new table, so my guess is that I will have to use a lot of SQL statements to preserve relationships.

I'm sorry if I am babbling but I am in the dark at this time.
