Here you go Old...

I just uploaded it...let me know when you have seen it and I will change the text in the movie from "Original" to "Revised"

Just the blue "original"?
I've seen it... Update it!

;-)ldnewbie

Done!

Changed it from Original to Revised. Ya' Gotta Love It!

Well, just saw the blue "revised"!
Can you?

;-)ldnewbie

nope!

I deleted all my files and restarted... still says original. Ya' Gotta Love It!
sleepyangelsBW.jpg

so why is it only doing that on my pc? Any settings i need to change? Ya' Gotta Love It!
sleepyangelsBW.jpg

I guess as long as everyone else can see the updates I can live with it. I always do lots of previewing and testing in Flash and in Dreamweaver. Ya' Gotta Love It!

Shesssssssssssssssssssssssssssh! How would I know? I'm no Luke WhiteTiger! LOL
I just did the delete files & offline content trick!
BTW, when you're doing this, there's something happening right? I mean the cursor changes into that sand thing right?

Another thought! Have NS (not 6.x - but 4.x)? If it worked with NS, would point to a fault in IE 5.5!

It is definitely deleting all the files from the folders i mentioned... I have done lookups for htm files that i thought may be saving to another folder somewhere on my harddrive but nothing ever shows up... my pc is haunted maybe...LOL
I don't have netscape at the moment...I could download a copy i suppose...I should anyway for testing purposes. I sincerely appreciate the help. I think I am gonna take the dog out and call it a night. Ya' Gotta Love It!

Have a good one!
I'm waisted too!

I've you done lookups for *.swfs?

Going to bed, before the witch comes by!

Hey Jeff, I'll find out what's up w/ your machine tonight if I can...I'll find every possible setting you can change to perhaps help this unfortunate event...just dont go crazy.

And I dont eat kittens. I flirt w/ them...

Anyways, just off the top of my head, I was thinking, try going into Internet Options and in the general tab, there should be a Temp. Internet files section...go into the settings for that, and make sure the 'Check for newer versions' isn't set for Never. Set it to every visit to the page...it should always get a newer version then... ----------------------------------------

Now where's that cute kitten? ;-)

White Tiger,

I have personally went thru every option in the Tools/options/advanced menu and check for newer version at every visit is selected. I can't really find anything else that would affect this.

I even do lookups as I mentioned above on *.html files...*.swf files after i delete everything and it will say 0 files found...but when I try to pull up the updated site ...the old one is still there...sometimes for 24 hours or more.

I have tried everything...I am all out of ideas. If you think of anything let me know....;-)

Thanks Ya' Gotta Love It!

Yea, this used to happen to me when I first started learning HTML, and I had learned on my server, it wouldn't update for 24 hours also...then someone told me about doing a shift+f5 (refresh), and I think it helped, but I dont remember now, (it was like when I was 7)...I'll find out though...I may not be good for anything else around here(;-)), but I've been using windows ever since version 1. ----------------------------------------

Now where's that cute little kitten? :-X

I use shift+F5 also... still doesn't update... Ya' Gotta Love It!

correction:

I use F5 as well as shift+Refresh Ya' Gotta Love It!

Tulsa,
From our test, this definately seems to point to your machine, or at least to your IE browser. Maybe you should get a hold of NS to test the theory. You could allways try to re-install IE... But that's a pain!
