Here is my problem: I have 2 employees sharing one computer. Yet, each has their own inter office email account (hosted by the Microsoft Mail Postoffice). We are running into a problem - where one employee (#1) logs into the computer (Server) and then the other employee (#2) tries to check her email but get #1's mail??? My question is: Can 2 people (with their own email acount for our inner office only) share one computer and check their own email account? And if so, how do I resolve this problem?? "Try everything at least once."

depends on what you are using for mail really.....but try these...
first off, use Rules Wizard to create a rule, where mails coming in with (#1) name in the To: field goes to (#1) folder....and same for (#2) If you are using accounts, unsave the passwords for each user, when you do this, and user 1 checks mail, she has to put in a password for her account, and will recieve the mail, then user 2's mail wont be recieved as she hasnt got the password for her mail....

Also you can try going into Tools->Accounts, and you should see the two accounts, when logged in as user1 (set the account1 to default) you can go to the properties of account 2 and untick it so that it doesnt check for mail when you send/recieve. Do the same for user and account 2 when user2 is logged in.....confused???? I am!!!!!!!!!! Jay~

My memory is a little hazy on this, but if you are using Windows mesaging with WGPO then you need to make sure that the logon dialogue comes up before Inbox is opened, the name and password can then be entered (I think). Someplace in messaging is an option to logon automatically which should be unticked.

Hope this helps/is accurate enough :p

Use "user identities" in MS Outlook Express!! User 1 logs on to their account and gets ONLY their e-mails! User 2 can then change to their identity and get their e-mails ONLY!! Easy!!

Where are these rules located at - in the Outlook located on their computer or in the Microsoft Mail PostOffice (where I administer the accounts)? "Try everything at least once."

You can't do it in Outlook ... only Outlook Express!!

Go to File > Identities > Add New Identity > New

You can then create a mail account for that identity. To switch between users go to File > Switch Identity.

Each user will only see their own e-mails!!

Easy!!!

I can use Outlook Express, even if we are using Outlook to check the mail?? When I click on the button to go to Outlook Express it pops up with an internet connection wizard, yet we are doing nothing with the internet - this is just for the inner office. HELP!!! "Try everything at least once."

That's not a problem!! Go through the wizard for the first connection!! But, instead of entering POP3 and SMTP server addresses for your ISP, you enter the IP or name for your LAN mail server!! Use the account name and password that you set up on the mail server.

Once you are in you can create other identities for other users on the same machine!!

Easy!!

Chris.
