maybe this is an easy one i don't know.... when i go to install office 2000 standard edition on a win98 2 ed machine then i go to set the exchange server properties all i get is internet accounts box. it's like i only have outlook express installed not full blown outlook. yet when i go back and install the 97 prof version i get everything. what am i missing? any clues.

I have seen this when I upgraded from stand alone outlook clients connecting to the internet for mail. What I had to do was open outlook go to tool/options click on the mail services tab and the at the bottom select reconfigure mail support and select the corporate/workgroup option. This allows to select the exchange server.

Hi,
Parkermms says true, but even if that does not solve your problem, you will need to run the Ofice2K setup again and select the "Add/Remove" option of the setup. You need to select "Outlook" from the list of all the installed components of Office, and check for the sub-components of Outlook to see whether "MS Exchange Support" is enabled or no? If no, select it and complete the installation.
Probably this should answer your querry.

This is an add in for Outlook and can also be done using the tools services add, have disk.
