I am trying to understand Access 2000 and have reach a dead-end. In Access 97 when I linked to an external dBF IV tabel, I was able to link and gather the current indexes, but with Access 2000 I get:

Microsoft Jet Database can not open the file .... . It is already opened exclusively by another user OR you need permission to view it's data.

Please help...
