Hello Guys,

What's the process of upgrading from V7.0 (5) and going to 11.0 (4) ?

Is there anything to consider? I've not touched Avaya for ages with upgrades. Cannot find an upgrade path.

Thanks,
Chris

Do you know what happens to the licences on R7 when I upgrade? Currently they are just installed. Obviously now we use PLDS and WebLM

Cheers,
Chris

You should have a PLDS file with all the required licenses, you'll install that on the IP Office after upgrade.

One thing to note. R7 didn't need the essential license. You did get a virtual one when upgrading to R8. I don't know if that is the case when going to 11.

You'll need to quote an upgrade to R11 so all needed should be included.

Thanks Guys, I havn't touched licencing before PLDS, was always just copy the key in. I have activated the licences in PLDS with the R11 lic.

One last question, we took over maintenance of the system but not 100% sure we have the system password. They are unsure if it is it or not. Is there anyway of testing to see if it's right without kicking off the upgrade?

Cheers,
Chris

Use sysmon connecting as a UDP connection and enter the password you suspect there - that is the system password. If it connects, you're good. If not you can reset it via security settings
