Hi everyone

I've been programming for about 6 years, the first 4 in COBOL and the last 2 in VB 6.0. I think its about time I did something about learning all about this .NET stuff!!

Eventually i'd like to take the MCAD exams but in the first instance can anyone recommend any books that I should read? I don't know the first thing about .NET, what it is etc or the differences between VB6 and VB.NET.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Happy New Year to you all :)

I too am a VB 6.0 programmer and have little web experience and I'm currently going through Mike Gunderloy's book for Exam 70-305. I like it so far but since it assumes at least a year's experience in HTML I'm learning that as I go too (although that seems pretty easy so far).
