Helper Address or Helper ID verification

Does anyone know of a way to verify the existance of a Helper Address or ID on the router via AIX. I have been told you can use a process via tftp from client to server. I have not seen it done however. The Helper Address is used to forward the transmission to a server on a different subnet. It would be used for things such as DHCP,.etc..
