I am new to the whole VB script thing and I really need some help! I have been trying to figure out how to create a script that will read a text file (Log file in .txt format) to look for a line in the text file the line is ‘ 226 Transfer complete’, if there the line doesn’t exist then I need to rerun the service again until I get ‘ 226 transfer complete’

Feel free to do a keyword search in this forum for fso or (i]FileSystemObject[/i], this will give you a lot examples on how to read text files. Then to look if a line contains a certain string, you may consider the InStr fonction.
