HI this is dushyant i install a pc with
SUPERMICRO P4dc6+ mboard
dual2.7 xeion processor
2gb ddr ram
40 gb scsi hdd
i wanted it to be rocket but the performance is like a bullock cart
i have windows 2000professional with sp 2
i am using matrox digisuit full with 340 gb external hdd
what may be the resion to be slow

First I'd upgrade to sp4 and remove the external drive from device manager (and physically) then see what you get. Make sure you have the latest scsi drivers and check for BIOS updates. If this dosen't help you might try contacting tech support at supermicro.
