I,looking for help on how to install a unix operating system on my computer (pentiumII)333 mhz.I,am running now windows 98 only on my machine .
I would like to know what kind of software package i have to look for and how to install it on my computer .I would like to know if my computer can run both operating systems.
I, have no experience at all with unix .

Hi Sewraj,

Yes -- this is quite possible.

Have a look on the Linux Server and Linux Desktop forums -- they'll be able to sort you out.

you need to have a spare partition, or disk in your machine (unless you are using something like Corel Linux, which seems very slow)

Almost all Unix' can install in a multi-OS environment, Sun Solaris is good for it, and Linux is, and i guess that HP-UX probably does ...

it depends on your choice of UNIX, and the devices you have in your machine (and the amount of effort you want to expel keeping the system running.
