I am trying to imp 9i expdata into 10g database. I write
imp user/pass file= full=y ignore=y but I get fail to process, what am i not doing that i should?

Take a look at the documentation. Some things has changed. You should be using the impdp i thought.

Ghazal,

First item: "Help" in not an appropriate "Subject/Title" for a Tek-Tips thread. In this case, "Problem processing 'imp' command" would be appropriate.

Second: if your 'imp' parameter truly reads "file=", then that causes the "IMP-00022: failed to process parameters..." error. You must supply a valid, readable file name such as "file=temp.dmp".

Let us know your findings.
