Ahh, this is frustrating. I thought I was pretty advanced in word, but I can not print out this particular word document. When I click Print, I get this message:

"the macros in this project are disabled, please refer to help"

I go to Tools and Macros and it is grayed out. I tried setting the security level to Low, and it is still giving me the same message. I can't think of anything else to try here. I am on Word 2003. Thanks.

Hi,

Don't you get a window when you open your document asking to enable macros?

Skip,

Best bet is that he is using word as an e-mail editor for Outlook 2003. This would keep a copy of WINWORD.EXE open and not allow changes to the settings until all instances of Word were closed. Close Outlook, kill the WINWORD processes in task manager then just open Word. Make the security changes, then close. Open Word back up and it should be fixed...
If not, then I'm flummoxed as to what could be causing it, unless your administrator has disabled the ability to change the macro settings....

It works now! I closed Outlook, but I could not find winword.exe in my task manager. I tried to print and I am no longer getting the message. Thanks for the help!
